Following is a description of our policy with regards to the collection and handling of personal information about our customers and prospective customers via this web site and those taking a tour. We will only collect and use such personal information according to government legislation and EU law in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Who we are
Nordic Puro is a brand name of TTE-The Travel Experience Oy (onwards described as “the company”), who are registered in Finland with the Kuluttajavirasto – the official Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) in Finland – where, in accordance with Finnish law, the company deposited a bond which safeguards all pre-payments made by our public customers in case of the company’s bankruptcy.

If you fill out any form on our site, such as Newsletter sign-up, our Contact Us form, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Why do we collect your data?
If you send us a request for information, or make a tour reservation, personal data (for example name, email address, affiliated company/organization, etc as collected from the relevant form fields) will be stored in our database, unless the registered person chooses to request their personal data to be removed from the register at any point.
We may also gather information on website visitors for the purpose of analytics and offering relevant information to visitors.
What personal date do we collect?
Personal data collected via web forms may include some or all of the following :
- First and last name
- Mobile telephone number
- Email address
- Affiliated company/organisation name and type and address
- Other personally submitted information (such as services requested)
Who we share your data with
If you take a tour with us, we use your personal information to communicate with you with regards to the tour you are taking, and post-tour follow up, and for the sending of relevant product information we think you could have interest in. We may send you e-mail marketing when such information is regarding our travel products or related information when you have travelled with us or sent us previous tour-related requests.
Customers and prospective customers may request their personal data to be removed from our register at any point.
In case of a confirmed booking Nordic Puro will process such received personal data in a responsible way and share the information with third parties only when strictly essential for your operation (eg, hotels and other travel suppliers or with relevant authorities when legally necessary). Details of those making requests to us for information or newsletter sign-up of never shared with third parties, ever. Newsletter registry data is stored and maintained using software intended for this use. All our staff sign into such systems using personal usernames and passwords.
How long we retain your data?
We only keep personal information for the purpose it was originally collected, or for future relevant marketing purposes. Sensitive information is destroyed after any tour is completed. Non-sensitive information can be stored for up to 5 years.
What rights you have over your data?
Any registered persons retain the right to demand corrections to erroneous data stored in the newsletter register.
Any registered person can choose to request their personal data to be removed from the register at any point.
