DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1
Personal arrival to Helsinki, Finland’s lively, cultured, and sustainable seaside capital city.
We provide a digital code so you can start your included Travel Card from the Airport, port, or rail station, and from there onwards to the hotel by tram. Transport details will be included in your pre-tour information and the tour’s exclusive Google My Map.
Start to get to know Helsinki using our tips for off-the-beaten track sights and bars and restaurants.
Overnight in Clarion Hotel Helsinki – comfortable, modern, in the regenerating docklands (see below for more details).
Day 2
Helsinki “Your Way” – your choice from the following:
A private guide will show you some of the main sights but also take you to local food markets and tell about life of Finns. Tell us your interests and we’ll tailor a tour to suit you.
Alternatively, join a small group for a city tour by bike using the city’s well developed system of cycle tracks, or discover the amazing archipelago on a guided sea kayak excursion.
Dinner is booked for you at our chosen restaurant where your meal is a locally-sourced sustainable experience. Wash it down with the restaurant’s own beer selection, brewed freshly on-site.
Day 3
Get out into the nature today. Using our instructions this self-guided excursion takes you out of the city to Nuuksio National Park, endless walking opportunities, and a visit to Haltia, the Finnish Nature Centre and a delicious buffet lunch. Private tours there can be organised for supplementary charge.
For the remainder of the day check again our exclusive Google My Map to find something to suit your tastes – a boat trip to an archipelago island, a gin-tasting experience, a visit to Helsinki’s amazing sustainable library Oodi, and much more.
Day 4
Depart Helsinki today – your included travel card will get you back to the airport by tram and train.
If time allows we warmly suggest a boat trip in the archipelago – suggestions with ferry timings are included in your Google My Map.
You might want to extend your stay – there is so much to see – and we will give you the possibility to add extra nights during the Booking Process.
